16 September 2026 · By Vaishno Devi Yatra Team

Hotel Ramada is Ramada by Wyndham's property in Katra, and it stands out from most of the town's hotel stock for one reason: it actually has an outdoor pool, plus a garden and terrace to go with it. On Station Road, it's an easy pick if you want a proper 5-star stay without heading all the way into the resort-style properties further from the centre.

Amenities

Free Wi-Fi, restaurant, swimming pool, garden, room service, parking, elevator, and a 24-hour front desk. The pool is the standout. After a day on the trek, a lot of guests specifically book here for it.

Location

Station Road puts you close to Katra's transport hub, which is convenient if you're arriving by train and want a short transfer, and it's a straightforward taxi ride to Banganga for the start of the trek. It's also walkable to the main market for food and shopping in the evening.

Who This Hotel Is Best For

Travellers arriving by train who want a short transfer, anyone who wants pool access as part of the stay (rare in Katra), and families who'd use the Suite's separate living space. If proximity to the shrine's administrative office matters more to you than a pool, Sarovar Portico is worth comparing.
